Even during ordinary times, stress can overwhelm our lives or creep up on us in unexpected ways. But these are extraordinary times. The world faces unprecedented stressors: economic struggles, and a global pandemic. Uncertainty, fear, and pain are at the forefront of our world right now, and it’s difficult to remember to stop and take deep breaths and acknowledge that here, at this moment, right now, you’re okay—maybe not perfect, but okay. 😊

Stress isn’t good for our minds, our bodies, our souls. And it helps to be reminded of small ways we can exhale stress and inhale calm. Here are a few powerful ideas from a few remarkable people on how to care for yourself right now. 🤗

Part of what living what we call an “illumy life” is being centered and letting go of what you can’t control. It’s also about taking care of yourself first so you can help others if you’re able.
