Maybe you saw a TEDx talk about password security and realized “password1234” isn’t very secure. Or maybe you’re a security ninja who changes your password regularly to be extra safe. Hat tip to you! 🎩

Either way, changing your password in illumy is pretty darn simple.

in a web browser

1. Sign in to illumy.
2. Click on the illumy logo/sprite in the upper left corner.
3. Click the Settings icon.
4. In the left panel, select “Account.”
5. Make sure the Password Recovery Mobile Number is correct before proceeding. Don’t skip this step. Without this number, you won’t be able to reset your password if you forget it.
6. In the Change Password section, enter your current password.
7. If you don’t know your current password, click “Forgot Your Password?”, and follow the prompts to reset your password.
8. Be sure to create a strong password.
9. Type your new password in the second field and again in the third.
10. Click “Save Password.”
11. A green notification box will appear in the bottom right that confirms your password was changed.

in the mobile app

1. Sign in to the illumy mobile app.
2. Tap the illumy logo/sprite in the upper left corner.
3. Tap the Settings icon.
4. Tap “Account” to open your account settings.
5. Make sure the Password Recovery Mobile Number is correct before proceeding. Don’t skip this step. Without this number, you won’t be able to reset your password if you forget it.
6. In the Change Password section, enter your current password.
7. If you don’t know your current password, tap “Forgot Your Password?”, and follow the prompts to reset your password.
8. Be sure to create a strong password.
9. Type your new password in the second field and again in the third.
10. Tap the Save Password button.
11. A gray confirmation bubble will appear temporarily at the bottom of your screen to confirm the change.
