Invite your friends

All that zesty goodness of illumy is refreshing, but the best way to enjoy that #illumylife is with others. Invite your friends, family, neighbors, dog-walkers, cat-sitters, and even your school chums to illumy. Once they join, you can message or email them with full encryption—and you can video or voice call with them, no matter where in the world they (or you) are. And it’s all free!

And the best part is that the people who join earlier rather than later? They get the coolest email addresses. Imagine having just your first name as your email address. (Yeah, it’s pretty great.)

  1. Look at the top blue bar, above the Widgets panel on the right-hand side. Click the icon that’s an envelope with a plus sign (+).
  2. In the pop-up, enter the email addresses of your favorite people. There’s no limit to how many people you can invite at once, so go crazy with it!
  3. You can edit the Subject line and the Message field to make it more personal—and to let the recipients know it’s really your awesome self and not some annoying spammer.
  4. Click the blue Send button to send, or click the white Cancel button if you change your mind.

So go on! Invite your friends, family, coworkers, Lyft drivers, etc., to communicate with you and others in ways that have never been possible before—the way it should’ve been all along. 😎
